Course Overview
BSc. (Hons) Applied Chemistry programme provides an excellent background for a professional chemist working in the industry. It combines fundamental knowledge and applied skills necessary to meet the demands of industries. This programme is built up on strong chemical analysis and instrumental analysis foundation with various other chemical applications and processes in areas such as chemical technology, polymer and environmental chemistry. Students are also exposed to areas of quality control and assurance, production management, marketing and safety at the workplace. UiTM Applied Chemistry graduates are renowned for their hands-on experience and practical knowledge.
Matriculation/Asasi Sains:
CGPA 2.00 from Asasi UiTM, Asasi UM, Matrikulasi KPM with grade B- (2.67) in two subjects including chemistry and one C grade (2.00) from either Mathematics, Physics/ Engineering Physics or Biology.
UiTM Diploma Graduates:
Diploma in Science/Industrial Chemistry/Microbiology/Polymer Technology/Food Technology/Chemical Engineering with CGPA 2.00.
Diploma Graduates from other Institutions:
Diploma in Science and Technology or Chemistry-related Engineering with CGPA 2.75 or CGPA 2.50 with two years relevant working experience.
STPM
CGPA 2.00 and Pass STPM Grade-B- (NGMP 2.67) in two subjects including Chemistry and either Mathematics/Physics/Biology
APEL
Pass the MQA Aptitude Test and Portfolio Assessment, Age not less than 21 years old and at least 5 years relevant working experience.
