Course Overview
ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
The program focuses on some of the principles and practices of biodiversity management practiced today and in the future. Courses offered include the introduction and diversification of flora and fauna, policies and laws on biodiversity management and conservation as well as environmental science research techniques covering aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems. This theory, practice and field course will ensure graduates have the knowledge, skills and ability to manage biodiversity more efficiently and systematically for sustainable development.
Entry Requirements
- Pass at SPM level/ equivalent (Credit in Bahasa Melayu/Malaysia and a pass in History subject), and
- Pass STPM with at least CGPA 2.00 with grade (B-) in Biology subject and two (2) of the following subjects, Mathematics (T) /Further Mathematics (T) /Chemistry/Physics/Information and Communication Technology,
or
- Pass Matriculation / Foundation with at least CGPA 2.00 (UITM Foundation / Science Foundation) with grade (B-) in two (2) subject including Biology and grade (C) in any of the following subject, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics/Computer Science,
or
- Pass UiTM Diploma science-related field with at least CGPA 2.00 from Faculty of Applied Sciences and Faculty of Plantation and Agrotechnology,
or
- Pass Diploma with at least CGPA 2.75 from IPT in related courses,
or
- Pass Diploma with at least CGPA 2.50 from IPT in related courses with two (2) years’ work experience in the related field,
or
- Pass APEL assessment by MQA, age more than 21 years old at the time of application, work experience in the related field for at least five (5) years and pass an interview at faculty level,
and
- Obtained at least Band 2 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET).
